Lucy Bacon joins us as Director of Unscripted Development

Two Rivers Media has confirmed the appointment of Lucy Bacon as its Director of Unscripted Development.  Lucy was latterly Head of UK Factual Development at Warner Bros. Television Production UK’s Wall to Wall Media. This is the third high-profile senior creative hire that Two Rivers Media has made since our launch in January.

Lucy takes up her position at Two Rivers Media on 19 August.  She joins senior creatives Mirella Breda, Head of Entertainment, and Mick McAvoy, Head of Factual, at the indie’s Glasgow headquarters.

Lucy Bacon has been Head of UK Factual Development at Wall to Wall Media since 2016, where she has overseen the development of projects including The Twinstitute (BBC Two); Danny Dyer’s Right Royal Family (BBC One); The 100 Years Younger Experiment (ITV); Nadiya’s Asian Odyssey (BBC One); World’s Most Extraordinary Homes (BBC Two); and Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star (BBC Three).

Previously, she was Head of Development: Development Central for BBC Productions, responsible for developing and pitching returnable formats across all platforms.  Credits include The Hairy Bikers, Chicken and Egg (BBC Two); and Who’s the Boss (BBC Two). Prior to that, Lucy was Head of Factual Development at Remarkable Television and Head of Development at Shine TV.  She has also held a range of Development Producer and Development Exec roles. 

Lucy will lead a growing development team which includes Development Producers Lotte Murphy-Johnson and Sophie Scott.
