Channel 4’s Indie Growth Fund was launched in 2014 and since its inception, the fund has made 28 investments and there are now 17 companies in the portfolio.

Rob was appointed Chair of Two Rivers Media Ltd in November 2019. Rob was appointed as Chair of the Met Office Board in July 2018 having previously held boardroom leadership positions across both the public and private sectors.
He is currently Chair of the listed marketing analytics provider Ebiquity plc, is the Senior Independent Director of the FTSE100 housebuilder Vistry Group plc, and Chair of the listed Norwegian education business Lumi Gruppen AS. He is also Chair of Court at Glasgow Caledonian University. Previously Rob has served on the Board of the LEO satellite operator OneWeb and software company Blancco. He is the former Chair of City, University of London and a former Commissioner at the Northern Lighthouse Board.
His Executive career has spanned 11 years as CEO of the listed media group STV plc, Commercial Director of Channel 4, Managing Director at UBS Warburg and lead partner at Deloitte across their European Telecom/Media/Technology consulting activities.
Rob was awarded a CBE in the King’s birthday honours list 2024.

Caroline joined Channel 4 as Head of the Indie Growth Fund in 2019.
Caroline has over 25 years of experience in the media industry in a variety of senior strategy and business development roles. These include Senior Adviser in the BBC’s corporate strategy team and SVP of Commercial Development at BBC Studios where she was responsible for developing and rolling out the BBC’s international channels business.
Her most recent job before joining Channel 4, was Global Director of Strategy and M&A at Fremantle Media where she was responsible for a significant number of investments in Indies and digital content companies.
Since joining the Indie Growth Fund Caroline has been responsible for 15 new investments in to the fund and managed 6 successful exits .
